Flashback Friday

So I know it is Saturday, but our computer was down on Friday, so this post is coming late.
Here is a flashback to our flat roofed house before:

BEFORE

And flash forward to today:

AFTER

I'm also working on some curb appeal, these posts will come soon. Since this picture was taken we added some window boxes and dug a flower bad on the front curb.
Yeah for new roofs and husbands and fathers that can build them!

Roof Raising

Our roof is rounding the bend of completion. Some good friends and family came and helped with some of the roof today, IN THE RAIN - and much was accomplished. Not much more to go now! I can't wait.

No flashback video, but some cute pictures intead.

Jackson and Jasper are quite the pair. Jackson loves his "brousin" (Jas calls Jackson his brousin, half cousin, half brother).

He LOVES going out in the stroller.

And being outside. Here he is at one of Jasper's baseball games.

He is sitting in his bumpo here . . . although he usually only sits in it for like 10 seconds before he gets bored and wriggles free.

The roof is coming along!

Jasper at his first game.

And does this count as crawling??

Its starting. . .

The new roof is starting to be built! I can hardly believe it, but its really gonna happen!

We have a flat roof - well it has a very low pitch, but practically flat. This flat roof has seen better days, and the back part has been leaking for a while now. So - a new roof is being built by my husband and father - complete with a pitch and everything!

Some lovely holes cut into my ceiling in order to find the source of the leak.
Measurements have been taken, plans have been drawn up. . .

I guess people really do use geometry in real life.

Yeah! I'm so excited. This is only the early stages, and it will still take a few weeks before it is finished, since my dad is going out of town for a couple of weekends coming up. But I see a roof on the horizon. Thank goodness David is handy and my dad is a contractor.
